Course Objectives: | Course Objective: To understand the dynamic nature of contemporary art, recognize contemporary art movements and artists, and explore the social and cultural contexts of artworks. The course aims to develop students' critical thinking skills and provide an in-depth perspective on contemporary art practice. |
Course Content: | The course covers topics such as the definition and history of contemporary art, major art movements and themes, key artists and their works, the social and political contexts of art, critical art theories, the relationship between contemporary art and media/technology, local and global practices, as well as project and application studies. |
