Course Objectives: | 1. Developing a positive attitude towards teaching the field of creative drama, 2. Comprehending basic concepts such as Creativity, Drama, Creative Drama, Game and Theater Pedagogy, communication-interaction, role playing, improvisation, etc., 3. Competencies required when applying drama in the classroom in education. and responsibilities, 4. Understand the aims of the drama course and recognize the curriculum, 5. Understand the development of creative drama in education and its practices in Turkey, 6. Understand the skills required for the use of drama as a method, 7. Design a drama course and to gain application skills. |
Course Content: | Introduction to Drama: Definition of drama, basic concepts, history, differences between drama, play, theater and psychodrama. Benefits of Drama: The effects of drama on creativity, mental development, interpersonal relationships, social skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills, awareness of emotions and self-expression skills. Stages of Drama: Preparation, animation and evaluation stages, Various techniques used in drama (improvisation), role play, photo moment (style image), mime, role cards, etc.) Origin of drama as a word, definition. Definition and purposes of creative drama/Drama Applications. Differences between creative drama, theater and acting. Characteristics of creative drama/Drama Applications. Elements of creative drama/Drama Applications. Dimensions of Creative Drama/Drama Applications. |
